Kids In Action Pre-Kindergarten
KIDS IN ACTION PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Kids In Action Pre-K was established in 1994 and serves children ages 4 and 5. The program is designed with the older Pre-K child in mind. For example, a good candidate for our KIA Pre-K Class is a child who misses the Kindergarten cutoff date.
KIA is a part of the Hingham Public Schools. Our Pre-K Program is located at South Elementary School. Our class runs 5 days per week from 8:30am-1:00pm. You may choose to dismiss your child at 11:30am or 1:00pm.
Our curriculum is theme based and follows the Massachusetts frameworks for Pre-School Children. The Classroom Centers encourage small group play with materials and toys related to the weekly theme. Center Time allows the children the opportunity to strengthen their social skills, improve cooperative play, and reenforce math, literary and science concepts. During large group activities the children are learning Kindergarten Readiness Skills, Listening & Language Skills, Cooperation, Patience and developing their Gross Motor Coordination.
KIA Pre-K is an excellent opportunity for children to develop friendships and to foster a love of learning.
