Audience comments are always welcome as agenda items are discussed. In addition, the School Committee has set aside fifteen minutes on this Agenda to enable members of the audience to raise questions and make comments on any matter of general concern that is not on the agenda. To facilitate this process, interested speakers are asked to provide the Superintendent or School Committee Chair with the nature of the question/comment, in writing, prior to the start of the meeting.

8.1 To consider voting on a resolution withdrawing from participating in the State’s School Choice Program for 2014 – 2015.
8.2 To receive a periodic member district update for the South Shore Collaborative.
8.3 To hear a quarterly financial update for FY’14.
8.4 To receive notification of the updated coaching assignments for the Spring, 2014 season.
8.5 To receive notification of the resignation for purpose of retirement of Estelle Cowie-Bryan, a Family and Consumer Science teacher at Hingham High School, effective June 30, 2014.
8.6 To receive notification of the resignation of Christina Michaelides, an East School teacher, effective at the end of the 2013-2014 – school year.
8.7 To receive notification of the appointment of Linda O’Brien, Special Education Paraeducator at Hingham High School, effective April 10, 2014.
8.8 To receive notification of the resignation of Geoffrey Kramer, English teacher at Hingham Middle School, effective April 4, 2014.
8.9 To receive notification of the Alternative Leave of Absence of Dana McNamee, High School Science teacher, for the 2014 – 2015 school year.
8.10 To receive notification of the Alternative Leave of Absence of Lori Lacks, a Special Education teacher at Foster School, for the 2014 – 2015 school year.
9. Other items as may not reasonably be known 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
10. Subcommittee and Project Reports.
10.1 To hear a Middle School update including the status of the disposition of the modular unit, and take any action as needed.
10.2 To hear a report from the Long Range Planning Committee and take any action, as appropriate.
10.3 To hear from other Subcommittees as needed.
11. Executive session to discuss strategies related to Collective Bargaining with Hingham Education Association, Unit A.
