Audience comments are always welcome as agenda items are discussed.  In addition, the School Committee has set aside fifteen minutes on this Agenda to enable members of the audience to raise questions and make comments on any matter of general concern that is not on the agenda.  To facilitate this process, interested speakers are asked to provide the Superintendent or School Committee Chair with the nature of the question/comment, in writing, prior to the start of the meeting.

To entertain comments and suggestions about the proposed revision to the Bullying Policy and to take action as may be appropriate.

8.    New Business.
8.1    To hear an annual update from Hingham’s legislative team.

8.2    To hear a report from the Foreign Language Department.

8.3    To discuss recent Board of Selectmen and Advisory Committee actions on the FY15 School Budget and to take action as may be appropriate.

8.4    To act on a request for a waiver of a policy restricting Sunday use of school property for an annual Ultimate Frisbee Tournament on August 2 and 3, 2014.

8.5    To receive notification of the appointment of Jenna McCarter as a Paraeducator at Hingham Middle School, effective February 26, 2014.

8.6    To receive notification of the resignation of Kristen Stuart as an East School teacher, effective at the end of her leave.

8.7    To receive notification of the resignation of Andrew Hoey as a High School Social Studies teacher.

8.8    To receive notification of the resignation for reason of retirement of Robert Regan as a High School Custodian, effective August 4, 2014.

8.9    To receive notification of the following advancement on the salary scale effective February 1, 2014: Cynthia McKeon, M15, Step 14.

9.    Other items as may not reasonably be known 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
