Director of Business and Support Services Announcement
We are pleased to announce that Ms. Aisha Nelson-Oppong has been selected to assume the role of Director of Business and Support Services for the Hingham Public Schools. Ms. Nelson-Oppong currently serves as the Assistant Director and a Fund Administrator for JTC Americas, where she leads a team that is responsible for fund administration for Private Equity and Opportunity Zone Funds. Prior to her current position, Ms. Nelson-Oppong was the Assistant to the Director of Business and Support Services at the Hingham Public Schools and also held positions as a Financial Reporting Manager at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC and as a Senior Audit Manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Ms. Nelson-Oppong holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and Accounting from the University of the West Indies, Barbados and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). She is also actively involved in the Hingham community, including Cub Scouts and the PTO.
Ms. Nelson-Oppong’s corporate experience combined with her prior municipal experience in the Hingham School District make her the ideal candidate for this position. Her familiarity with the systems and processes used in the Hingham Schools will allow for a smooth transition and provide continuity from the prior administration.
