HPS offers exceptional early childhood education programming to children 3-5 with half-day, full-day, and extended-day options. 

The district operates two programs; Integrated Preschool & Pre-K and Kids in Action Preschool & Pre-K.  Both programs are tuition based with a sliding scale.

Integrated Preschool and Pre-K provides early childhood education for both special education and general education students to learn and thrive together. Half-day and full day options are available for children ages 3-5. Neurotypical children learn alongside their special education peers, creating an inclusive setting for learning.

Location: Foster Elementary beginning Fall 2025.

Programs:

• 3-year-old: 5 Half Days

• 4-year-old: 4 Full Days, 1 ½ day (Wednesday)

Kids in Action (KIA) Preschool and Pre-K programs feature both traditional and Spanish Immersion options. This early education program provides a variety of full-day and extended-day options for children ages 3-5.

Location: East Elementary beginning Fall 2025.

Programs:

• 3-year-old Traditional Preschool, 5 Full Days

• 4-year-old Traditional Pre-K, 5 Full Days

• 4-year-old Spanish Immersion Pre-K, 5 Full Days

PLEASE NOTE: Next year, Integrated Preschool & Pre-K will operate out of FOSTER Elementary and Kids in Action (KIA) Preschool & Pre-K will operate out of EAST Elementary beginning Fall 2025. This is a change from this year's program.
