Reminder: School starts tomorrow, September 4, for grades 1-12 (Kindergarten on Sept 5, and Preschool/Pre-K on Sept 9)! With the new school year, expect increased traffic, and let’s work together to keep everyone safe. ✅ Stop when school bus lights are flashing. ✅ Obey speed limits in school zones and avoid using cell phones. ✅ Yield to pedestrians at crosswalks. ✅ Follow crossing guards' instructions. ✅ Use sidewalks when available. On the bus: 🚌 Wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before approaching. 🚌 Board in single file and stay off the street. 🚌 Stay seated and be respectful. 🚌 Keep snacks off the bus due to serious allergies. ✳️ For transportation concerns, contact us at 781-741-1510. A HUGE congratulations to Coach Rich Florence and the Bridgewater Little League for becoming state champions! ⚾️ Coach Florence, who also teaches history at Hingham Middle School, will lead the Bridgewater team in the New England Regional Tournament on Wednesday at 1 PM on ESPN. If they win two more games, they will advance to the Little League World Series. Good luck Coach!

Impact testing will be offered to all incoming 9th grade and new student athletes at Hingham High School in the language lab on the following dates:
August 6: 8-10 am
August 8: 4-6 pm
August 13: 8-10 am

Last week, our 8th graders presented their final civics projects to the community. 🇺🇸
Students shared their plans for addressing local issues such as adjusting school start times and advocating for necessary high school improvements. A special thank you to State Senator @patrickoconnor4, State Representative @joanmeschino, and all who supported our students! A big shoutout to the 8th-grade team for guiding our students and organizing this fantastic end-of-year celebration!

This month, the HMS Ski Club, led by Mr. Riordan, Senora Canney, and Mr. McCulloch, enjoyed a fantastic day at Pats Peak in Henniker, NH, with over 120 students and faculty. It was the perfect weather for skiing, marking one of the best days of the winter. ⛷️❄️
