At the conclusion of the 2020-2021 school year there were some administrative shifts at Plymouth River Elementary School. These changes resulted in the appointment of then PRS Assistant Principal, Ms. Charleen Fabrizio, to the position of Elementary Administrator of Special Education. Ms. Melissa Smith was then appointed to the position of PRS Assistant Principal, and Mr. Gregory Lamothe was appointed to the role of Interim Principal at PRS. As the year progressed, Mr. Lamothe has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and done an outstanding job in his new role. It has also become clear that he is the right fit for the PRS faculty, staff, and community.
We are pleased to also announce that Mr. Gregory Lamothe has been appointed to the role of Principal of Plymouth River Elementary School, effective July 1, 2022. Before this current academic year in the role of Interim Principal, Mr. Lamothe had served as the Coordinator of Special Education at the Paul A. Dever Elementary School in Boston Public Schools since 2018. In 2015 Mr. Lamothe departed Newton to assume the role of Assistant Principal of the Susan B. Anthony Middle School in Revere. He served in this role until his departure for the Dever Elementary School in 2018. Further, Mr. Lamothe is also an Adjunct Professor of Education at the University of Massachusetts at Boston where he supervises students in the CAGS Leadership Program and teaches a graduate course on Behavior and Classroom Management.
Mr. Lamothe holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Worcester State College, a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Northeastern University, a Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and a Certificate in Autism from Lesley University.
