Former Foster Faculty Visit Foster School for One Last Time

Hingham, MA, May 24, 2024 – On Thursday, May 23, 2024, several current Foster School staff members hosted a Foster Farewell Tour for former Foster faculty and staff, giving them the opportunity to say goodbye to their old school before it is torn down and replaced. Over 30 retired teachers returned to Foster, revisiting cherished memories through old photo albums and reminiscing with former colleagues.

Current staff members Courtney Stevenson, Laura Murphy, Paul Riser, Christopher Davidson, Monica Matthews, and Elizabeth Curran led guided tours of the building, where many of the retirees spent over 30 years teaching and working as paraprofessionals. The retirees reflected on their time at Foster as they walked through the familiar hallways.

Many of these former staff members had not seen each other in years, making the chance to reminisce and reconnect a wonderful experience. The current staff looks forward to welcoming them back for another tour when the new Foster School opens later in 2024.

Several former staff members shared their thoughts after the farewell tour:
