Spanish Immersion Pre-K

Our Spanish Immersion Pre-K class is located at Foster Elementary School and runs Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-2:00 pm.

The class will follow a partial immersion model. Students will receive instruction in early literacy in English, while all other instruction will take place in Spanish. This will include the daily morning meeting, other centers, math, science, and social studies. The curriculum will adhere to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Pre-K students.

The curriculum will build upon a monthly theme. Students will engage in arts, literacy, and math activities aligned with the themes. Development of oral language.

Kids in Action programs follow the Hingham Public Schools calendar.

*Location is subject to change based on HPS availability.

8:30 – 2:00 PM, Monday – Friday

Eligibility

Children who live in Hingham and will be four years old by August 31, 2024, are eligible to enroll.

Sample Schedule

Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity for outdoor activities, centers, and purposeful play as they learn and grow. A typical school day might follow this sample schedule:
